About Nabinagar
Nabinagar is located in Aurangabad district of Bihar. Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project is located here. This coal-based thermal power plant is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited. Spread over 2970 acres, it will be third largest power project in India. Sasaram, Belta National Park, Palamu, Rohtasgarh Fort and Bodh Gaya are some important tourist spots located close to the city. The city once served as the assembly constituency of Anugrah Narayan
Sinha(the 1st finance minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar).

According to the census of 2011, the population of the city was 25041. The avg. literacy rate of Nabinagar is 53 percent which is less than the national avgerage. Urdu, Hindi and Magadhi are spoken in this part of Bihar.
